Dear Families & Friends,

As part of Phase 2 of its COVID-19 response, BC has now eased restrictions for visits in long-term care homes and assisted living facilities across the province. We’re happy to share that, in compliance with BC Health recommendations, our residents can now see a single visitor at a time.

Residents in our Lynn Valley Care Facilities will be able to spend time with their one “designated” visitor, by appointment only, in our specially-arranged lobby area. Due to staffing and safety measures, visits will be taking place Monday to Friday only, from 9am to 5pm.

While we’re excited to be able to reunite our residents with their loved ones, the safety of our residents, staff and visitors remains our utmost priority. Upon their arrival, visitors can expect to have their temperature checked by our special infrared thermometers, before being asked to sanitize their hands and don a face mask (PPE).

Those who cannot visit at this time are encouraged to continue connecting with loved ones via phone calls, video chats, letters, notes, and drawings. We’ll be keeping you updated about further easing of restrictions as we learn more from the Ministry of Health.
