So far this spring the weather has been very nice and warm. The outdoor patio areas are already in use and hopefully the summer months will continue to stay wonderfully warm & dry too!
This month’s event will be Father’s Day – Sunday, June 17th. We’ll celebrate with a special evening meal, featuring Baked Ham, with Strawberry Rhubarb Pie for dessert.
Then just around the corner is our BBQ season, the first one to be held Wednesday, June 27th at 1 PM, in the main courtyard between the Lodge & Manor, plus the adjoining indoor areas. A separate BBQ will be held on the Manor 3rd & 4th floor as well at the normal lunch service time.
For our first event we will be serving teriyaki salmon, which is our tradition. Let’s hope the weather is exceptional, so that we can enjoy the patios. The sign-up sheet for this BBQ will be circulated to each area of the Manor and will be kept in the Lodge Activity Room. Please let the Activity staff know if you would like to sign up. As always, there is a limit of 2 guests per family so that we can accommodate as many residents as possible. Sign up soon to avoid disappointment. There will be 3 more BBQs held during July, August & September. Those dates will be announced shortly.
