Happy Holidays from your Lynn Valley Care Centre Family!
This year, we know Christmas will look a little different for our residents. While COVID-19 vaccines are on the near horizon, our family Christmas dinners and in-room holiday visits won’t be going ahead as usual. So we’ve stepped up our decorations, holiday activities and festive food services to help fill the void of residents spending the time without their families. Your loved one may not be coming home, but they’re still among family at the Lynn Valley Care Centre.

Looking ahead to 2021
Dear Family and Friends,
It’s been a difficult year. We were the first care centre to experience a COVID-19 outbreak in BC. Early in the pandemic, we learned many lessons that would help other care centres in the future. Our health officials and staff worked tirelessly, but we lost many loved ones along the way.
Today, we’re more than seven months COVID-free at Lynn Valley Care Centre, and continuing to take all the precautions necessary to keep our staff and residents healthy, happy, and safe. We’re proud of the way our staff, families, and community came together during this difficult year, and are looking ahead to 2021 with renewed hope and a stronger family bond than ever before.
From our Lynn Valley Care Centre family to yours, thank you.

COVID & FLU SEASON UPDATE
We are currently accepting visitors by appointment (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm) in the lobby. Call reception at (604) 988-4181 to schedule your visit or to request a room visit. An infrared thermometer will scan your body temperature at the door, with masks, hand sanitizer, and a safety screen provided.
With the coronavirus not quite behind us, it’s flu season again. Our residents have been and staff have already received this year’s vaccines. We encourage all regular visitors to have a flu shot once they become available.
Thank you for participating in Lynn Valley Care Centre’s infection control program, and for helping keep us COVID-free since May.
