HELP MAKE OUR RESIDENTS SMILE
Since the very beginning, we’ve worked with our community to help our residents feel at home.
In-person volunteering is back at Lynn Valley Care Centre – and there are many ways to get involved! Email recreation@nsph.ca or read more to find out how you can help reduce isolation and bring joy to the men and women who call our facility home.
PROVIDE COMPANIONSHIP
Some of our residents have few visitors and can be lonely at times. Volunteers can help provide companionship for these residents. It can be as simple as sitting down and having a chat with them, playing cards, or bringing them for a walk around our facility.
BE A RECREATIONAL SUPPORT
Assist the recreation department by joining in at activities. You’ll provide encouragement and support for residents to get involved with the activity at hand, be it fitness, games, parties, or other creative ways to get our residents engaged and moving.
SHARE YOUR TALENTS
Have a knack for music, an entertaining dance routine, or an act that makes people smile? We’d love to share your expertise with our residents. Get in touch at info@lynnvalleycarecentre.com (Re: Volunteering) to schedule a virtual appearance, or a live show/concert outside the facility.
ASSIST WITH OUR LIBRARY OR CHURCH SERVICE
Love a good book? So do our residents! Once a month we set up a library service here at Lynn valley. Our volunteers help residents with transport and book selections.
We’r also looking for volunteers to help transport residents to and from church service.
SEND A NOTE OR DRAWING
Our residents love getting pictures, cards and letters from the community. Whether you have a classroom of students wanting to get creative, or some time to share your own drawing or writing skills, our seniors would love to hear from you! You delivery or send your mail to:

MAKE A DONATION
