FOOD SERVICE
March is almost here!!! We are feeling we are in the midst of winter right now with lots of snow and ice so be careful out there! We are looking forward to some nice weather and a lot more sunshine for those tulips & daffodils to “spring” into action!
February was busy with special events. We celebrated Chinese New Year with a special meal, featuring sweet & sour chicken, with custard tarts and fortune cookies for dessert. The following week, Valentine’s Day was celebrated with a meal featuring salmon fillet with dill sauce and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
During March we will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a traditional Irish meal on Sunday, March 17th.
We would like to remind everyone that we have microwaves in all resident lounge areas in the Manor, plus a microwave in the Lodge dining room serving area, which family members may use for reheating special food items brought in from home. Unfortunately, due to food safety concerns, our staff are not permitted to reheat food brought in by family members.
HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY
We are striving to ensure that all resident clothing items get labeled. Family & friends can help by ensuring that all new clothing items are sent to the laundry for labeling before they are worn. Please ask a staff member for assistance.
